Advice for your beginner programmer self?

If you could go back and give your beginner programmer self one piece of advice, what would it be and why?

My simple advice to my beginner self and other newbies is to Build small real projects early— hands-on practice makes concepts stick and boosts confidence fast.

CNNMN01 I agree with Alhaaz. If you haven’t learned the skills necessary for programming, start on learning some lessons here on sololearn or on another learning platform like FreeCodeCamp or Codecademy (and many others). Then while you learn those skills, do some little projects to see how well you can use these skills you learned (then of course you will get better and better depending on your learning process and how much study you do day by day.) You can also share your codes to the community for other people to see and they may give you their opinions on what to improve step-by-step or maybe some tips to improve your coding. Hope this helps 😁

Alhaaz Eve 📖 I really appreciate the advice. I’m still early in my learning, so hearing that small projects and steady practice help a lot makes things feel more manageable. Sometimes I hold off on building because I feel like I don’t know enough yet, but this reminds me it’s okay to start simple. Do you remember what your first small project was? I think having examples could help spark some ideas.

Alhaaz. Do you have a PhD in diagnostics of programmers' weaknesses? Because that's so me!
